Craft Attitude Bracelet

Fruit Basket Bracelet 2

Here's a bracelet I made using Craft Attitude and a worn out wood bracelet.  Each time I look at it, it makes me think of the kitchen cabinets at the house I grew up in.  My mother hand painted fruit baskets on each door with oil paint.  Oh, my sweet mom.  Now that I think about it, you could Craft Attitude your cabinets.

**Some of you have written to me asking how I get such illuminated surfaces with the Craft Attitude product.  Here's your new secret weapon—>

and BFF:  Liquid gilding paint!  I use it in silver and gold on almost everything.  The only thing I don't like about it is the clean up.  BUT!  I'll live because the result is worth it!  This paint is made by Martha Stewart/Plaid Enterprises.  Good stuff.

I applied the CA film with a permanent Elmer's glue stick.  Seal with matte Mod Podge.  Done deal.

Sweet Owls with Air Dry Clay

ACTIVA DQ Royal Couple Pic

Febuary is almost here and you know what that means—Valentine's day crafting!  My dear friend Debra Quartermain created this Royal Couple for ACTIVA using the magical air dry clay known as Hearty Clay.  Aren't they the sweetest?  Everything Debra touches is cute.  I love her designs.  For the owls you even get to use a heart shaped cookie cutter to create some of the pieces.  Hearty Clay is safe for children to use too!  Thanks Debra for sharing this with us.

CHA Winter 2013

Craft-Attitude-CHA

Come see Jonathan Fong and myself January 12-15th in the Craft Attitude booth at the Craft and Hobby show to see how you can add images easily and fast to a ton of different craft projects.  There will also be a giant elephant in the booth that you can have your picture taken with!  Curious?  It's going to be so fun!  See you there!

New Year Sparkle Necklace

Photo 2-23

This will be as close as I get to seeing the ball drop tonight.  My hunky fiance' brought home fancy appetizers and we made potato soup (his request).  I've been editing photos to the tune of a crackling fire with two dogs curled up snoozing.  Admittedly, we binge watched the Twighlight series this weekend (I'd never seen them) and therefore are relying on Netflix to entertain us tonight.  We don't have cable here at the cabin.   No pressure, Netflix.

Photo 2-23

I'm hooked on cable necklaces right now….and the Twighlight movies.  First, I was on Team Edward and by disc three I was on team make-up-your-mind-Bella.  Crikey.  They were fun to watch all in a row.  There is one theater sort of near that is still playing Breaking Dawn part II.  We'll see if I can make it through the week without seeing it.  I'm trying to detox because today I was using red paint and later on noticed I had red on my hand.  You'd think my first thought would be "paint," but instead it was "vampires."

2012 was a really good year.

I tackled some resolutions, released a new book, got engaged, and bought a house.

Get ready 2013, because you've got some big shoes to fill!
